Privacy policy

1. What I collect
When you use the invoice generator itself, I collect nothing. There is no signup form, no analytics call that includes your invoice contents, and no backend that could ingest them. The data lives in your browser's localStorage under keys prefixed with invoicetool. and stays there until you clear it or uninstall the browser.
That covers names, addresses and emails you type into "From" and "Bill to", every invoice number and amount, every line item, anything in Notes or Terms, and any logo image you upload.
2. What I do measure
I run Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and which guides are useful. GA4 records anonymised, aggregate information: page URL, referring site, country, device type, approximate session duration. It does not see anything you type into the invoice form because the form's state never leaves your browser.
You can opt out of GA4 by installing Google's official opt-out browser add-on, by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser, or by using a tracker-blocking extension. None of those will affect the invoice generator's functionality.
3. Advertising and Google AdSense
Articles in Guides, Blog, and Templates may display third-party advertisements served by Google AdSense. The invoice generator page itself does not show ads.
Specifically, the points below describe how Google's advertising system interacts with your visit to this site:
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet.
- Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
- For more information about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see Google's partner sites policy.
Third-party advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies in the advertisements you see on this site. They collect that information directly from your browser; I do not have access to it and cannot control it. Each partner's own privacy policy governs that data.
4. Cookies on this site
I do not set first-party cookies for the invoice generator. The tool uses localStorage for saved drafts, which is technically different from a cookie and never sent to any server. On article pages, the following third parties may set cookies in your browser:
- Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*) for aggregate traffic measurement. - Google AdSense (
__gads,__gpi) and any cookies set by ad partners through Google's exchange, for ad personalisation and frequency capping.
Your browser lets you block, delete, or restrict cookies at any time. The tool will keep working with cookies disabled because it does not depend on them.
5. Consent for EEA, UK and Swiss visitors
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's Consent Management Platform asks you to accept or reject personalised ads before they load. If you reject, you may still see non-personalised ads on article pages. You can change your choice at any time from your browser's site settings for invoicewithme.com.
6. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the age of digital consent). I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your rights
Because I do not collect personal data from the invoice generator, there is nothing for me to delete, export or correct on your behalf regarding your invoices. To delete your invoice history, open the History panel inside the tool and use Clear all, or clear your browser's site data for this domain.
For GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA requests related to analytics or advertising data held by Google or other partners, please use their own privacy controls linked above. If you have questions about how this site processes information, email me at the address below.
8. Data transfers
Google Analytics and Google AdSense are operated by Google LLC in the United States. Their use of your information is governed by Google's privacy policy and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
9. Changes to this policy
If I change how the site handles data or introduces a new advertising partner, this page gets updated and the "Last updated" date at the top changes. Material changes will be noted on the home page for at least seven days.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request related to your data, go to saad@techorphic.com. The contact page has more on what to include and what response time to expect.
